Students of the University of Safety Studies had the opportunity to participate in fieldwork in the course Occupational Safety, under the expert guidance of Kristina Antunović, Head of Occupational Safety and Fire Protection.

During the course, students gained insight into practical supervision in the work environment, where they learned how to recognize potential hazards in the workplace – from electrical, mechanical and chemical risks to physical hazards, static and dynamic loads and fire hazards.
The focus was on important aspects of protection: risk assessment, use of personal protective equipment, maintenance of safety systems such as hydrant networks and fire extinguishers, and the development and implementation of evacuation plans.

Through the analysis of specific situations, students learned how to prevent risks and react properly in case of emergencies. These experiences are an important step in developing their professional skills and understanding the key elements of occupational safety.
