First-year undergraduate students at the University of Applied Sciences in Security and Safety had the opportunity to participate in a lecture by Fabjan Ruščić, mag.ing.sec., head of the occupational safety sector at Cemex Hrvatska d.d. The lecture was held as part of the course Quality Management Systems, led by Professor Marijana Leontić.
Topic of the lecture: Implementation of the safety system at Cemex Hrvatska d.d.
Mr. Ruščić presented Cemex Hrvatska as the leading cement producer in Croatia and the region, which stands out for the quality of its products, numerous certificates and awards. He paid special attention to the implementation of the international standards ISO 9001, ISO 45001 and ISO 39001, which are key to ensuring a high level of safety, quality and sustainability of business.
Through concrete examples of good practice, students gained insight into the advantages of implementing management system standards, especially in the context of occupational health and safety. Mr. Ruščić emphasized the importance of continuous work on improving safety standards and how they contribute to creating a better and safer working environment.

This lecture provided students with valuable insight into the real business world and the importance of standards in the safety and quality management system. Mr. Ruščić, with his knowledge and experience, inspired students to think about challenges and solutions in their future profession.
