A guest lecture was held at the University of Applied Sciences in Security and Safety, which allowed students to learn about innovative technologies in gas analysis and the application of theoretical knowledge in practice.
Our guest lecturers were:
Borivoj Žmegač, M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Director of Preventa d.o.o. from Varaždin, Center for Integral Security.
Tomica Roginek, M.Sc. in Civil Engineering, Security Expert.
Topic: Gasmet FTIR Gas Analysis Device
The lecture focused on the Gasmet GT 5000 Terra, a portable gas analysis device that uses FTIR (Fourier Transform Infrared) spectroscopy for precise and rapid measurement of concentrations of various gases.
In addition to the theoretical part, students participated in practical exercises during which they analyzed selected chemical hazards. This allowed them to see real methods of testing and measuring chemical hazards in the working environment.
Courses as part of the lecture
This professional lecture was held as part of the course Testing the Working Environment under the leadership of Prof. Marijana Leontić, and was also joined by students of the course Chemical Hazards, taught by Prof. Mirada Ćehić.
Practical experience as the foundation of safety
Such lectures allow our students to gain first-hand knowledge and skills necessary for real-world challenges. An approach that combines theory and practice prepares them for a successful career in the field of safety and health at work.
