As part of the Introduction to Safety Studies course, students of the VSS had the opportunity to participate in another interesting guest lecture that connects theory and practice in the field of safety.
This time, the lecture was given by an alumnus of the VSS, Marko Cetina, M.Sc., Head of the Department of Safety, Occupational Health and Environmental Protection at the Gredelj Railway Vehicle Factory d.o.o. (TŽV Gredelj d.o.o.), on the topic of “Occupational Health and Safety Management at TŽV Gredelj d.o.o.”.

During the lecture, Mr. Cetina introduced the students to the way in which a large industrial company systematically manages the safety and health of employees. Through real-life examples from practice, he emphasized the importance of preventive action, risk analysis, and continuous improvement of the safety culture within the organization.
Special emphasis was placed on the interconnection of occupational health and safety, environmental protection, and safety protocols, which form the basis of successful and sustainable business in demanding industrial conditions.

The lecture provided students with valuable insight into the professional challenges and responsibilities that a career in the field of safety brings, and further motivated them to develop the knowledge and competencies needed in this important sector.
VSS would like to thank Mr. Marko Cetina for his time, sharing his professional experience and contributing to the education of future security experts. 👏
