The University of Security Studies continuously strives to provide students with the best possible insight into real challenges and practices in the field of security. That is why regular classes often include guest lectures by experts from various sectors.
As part of the course Safety Methods, students will have the opportunity to participate in a guest lecture to be held by Mr. Boris Laškarin, a graduate engineer in chemical technology and advisor to the management for quality and organization in the ORSUS group.

The lecture will be dedicated to the topic of inspections, which play a key role in ensuring the safety and compliance of work processes with applicable regulations. Students will have the opportunity to learn about how inspections are carried out in practice, what the most common irregularities are, and how organizations can prepare and improve their security systems.
Practical experience
Mr. Laškarin has extensive professional experience, including work as a senior labor inspector for occupational safety, where he conducted inspections and worked on improving safety standards for years.
In addition, his experience includes: organization of production work, design work, and supervision of production quality.
This combination of knowledge and practice allows students to gain a comprehensive insight into safety processes, not only from a theoretical but also from an operational perspective.
Connecting theory and practice
Guest lectures are an important part of the study program because they allow students to have direct contact with industry experts. Through such meetings, students gain a realistic picture of the labor market, employer expectations, and the challenges they will face in their future careers.
The University of Security Studies continues the practice of involving experts from various fields in order to provide students with high-quality, applicable, and modern education.
