We are proud to point out the exceptional success of our professor, Ph.D. Mirsade Ćehić, who participated as a prominent speaker at the prestigious conference 3rd Global Summit on Climate Change and Sustainability held in Barcelona.
dr. Ćehić held a presentation entitled:
“The EU’s Green Deal and Challenges in Croatia: A Study of Air Quality Deterioration and the Role of Renewable Energy in Driving Sustainable Development”.
As part of the presentation, she also presented previously unpublished research results created in collaboration with Dr. sc. Anom Rački Marinković. Her presentation was recognized for its exceptional quality and contribution, which is why she was awarded with three certificates, signed by distinguished world experts – prof. Antonopoulos (University of the Peloponnese) and Dr. Silveira (Brazilian National Institute of Meteorology).
The only representative from the Southeast European region
What makes this participation particularly significant is the fact that Dr. Ćehić was the only representative from the Southeast European region. In this way, on a global platform, she represented the Polytechnic of Security Studies, a member of the SSBM Geneva group, and opened up space for new international collaborations and research projects.
A combination of science, collaboration, and culture
In addition to participating in the conference, Dr. Ćehić took the opportunity to visit important institutions in Vienna that deal with environmental issues during her trip – the Federal Ministry of Land and Forestry, Climate and Environmental Protection, and Regions and Water Resources.
As an art lover, she also visited the famous Vienna Albertina Gallery, where she enjoyed the exhibition “From Monet to Picasso”.
