The Professional Graduate Study on Security and Safety is a unique master’s program that offers you the opportunity to study in the field of integral and corporate security. After a two-year professional graduate study, students will be able to propose improvement of prevention measures for health and safety at work, protection of the environment and material goods, recognize problems in an interdisciplinary manner and present proposals in the appropriate area of safety and security.
The Professional Graduate Study on Security and Safety is a two-year (4 semesters) study that earns 120 ECTS points, which is the second level of Bologna higher education. This unique study program is designed to provide you with a quality education that gives you the professional title: “Master engineer of security and safety” with an indication of the field of study with the abbreviation mag.ing.sec.
The areas of specialization in the second year of study are: Work Protection, Fire Protection, Environmental Health and Protection of persons and property.

The study is part-time, and classes are held outside working hours according to the regular and academic calendar that includes 30 weeks of classes per year, summer and winter holidays, and regular and extraordinary exam periods.

The University of Applied Sciences in Security and Safety will publish the ranking of applicants and determine the applicants who have gained the right to enroll. Applicants who have acquired the right to enroll will be notified of this in writing. The candidate has the right to complain about the correctness of the implementation, which is submitted to the Commission within 24 hours of the publication of the order list on the notice board of the University.

According to the Occupational Safety and Health Act, employers are obliged to employ an occupational safety specialist if they employ more than 50 workers. Depending on the fire and explosion hazard assessment, there are similar requirements for hiring fire safety professionals. Security experts are also employed in insurance and reinsurance companies, security companies, state administration, the State Inspectorate, the Ministry of the Interior, the Ministry of Defense, in physical and technical protection, civil protection, fire brigades, companies that offer goods and services for protection persons and property etc.

The right to enroll in the degree program have persons who have completed an undergraduate professional three-year study or an undergraduate university study and acquired at least 180 ECTS credits.
Persons who have completed an undergraduate three-year or four-year professional study or an undergraduate university study also have the right to enroll in the program.
Our students also have the right for conditional enrollment in the program, if they have completed the third year of study provided that they pass all failed exams before enrolling in the program. If they do not meet this condition, they cannot continue to attend classes, and their student rights are suspended.
Applicants who are granted enrollment in the program, and have not previously completed the security related study program (three-year or four-year) are required to enroll in differential exams that will be recognized as elective courses in the second year of the study program.
The Professional Graduate Study on Security and Safety curriculum is a 2 years program, composed of core courses. The program is fully run on campus.
