The University of Applied Sciences in Safety and Security is proud to announce that Professor Dario Silić, Ph.D., participated as the keynote speaker at the 4th European Green Conference (EGC 2026), held in Vodice, Croatia from 26 to 29 May 2026. The conference brought together researchers, industry experts, policymakers and sustainability experts from across Europe to address key environmental and sustainability challenges.
Sustainable Infrastructure and Environmental Protection
During the opening session, Professor Silić presented his topic “Sustainable Management and Environmental Protection on the Istrian Y”. The presentation explored how modern transport infrastructure can balance operational excellence, traffic safety, environmental protection and long-term sustainability.
Emphasizing the broader responsibility of infrastructure management, Professor Silić highlighted the importance of conserving natural resources, protecting biodiversity and contributing to the quality of life in local communities while providing effective mobility solutions.
