For more than ten years, he served as the head of the Military Police Directorate and the Military Police Service.
He was promoted to the rank of Major General in 1994 and to the rank of Colonel General in 2002.
Among other things, he was the director of security at the Zagreb Universiade, head of security at the Eurovision Song Contest in Zagreb, and a member of the security department at the Winter Olympics in Sarajevo and the European University Games in Zagreb and Rijeka in 2016.
