Second-year students of the Security Specialist undergraduate program had the opportunity to attend a lecture on Business Security by Mr. Daniel Jojić, Head of the Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorist Financing function at the Croatian Bank for Reconstruction and Development. HBOR is a developmental and export bank, as well as the export credit agency of the Republic of Croatia, whose primary task is to stimulate the development of the Croatian economy. By providing financing, investing in venture capital funds, insuring exports against political and commercial risks, issuing guarantees, and providing business consulting, HBOR builds bridges between entrepreneurial ideas and their realization with the aim of enhancing the competitiveness of the Croatian economy.
Mr. Jojić delivered a lecture to students on the topic “Fundamentals of Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorist Financing“. The aim of this guest lecture was to acquaint students with the basics of implementing measures, actions, and procedures for preventing money laundering and terrorist financing, as well as measures of restriction, i.e., targeted financial sanctions.
