When talking to our Alumni, many of them claim their occupation was never this relevant and demanded. Firefighters are unselfishly saving lives following extraordinary events such as the recent earthquakes. Any hotel, school or residential building in order to operate needs to meet the strictest criteria for fire protection and evacuation. Numerous companies and public bodies as well are increasingly employing consultants and specialists in the field of sustainability, and environmental protection. Even having experts regarding safety on work is imperative, given the increasing recognition of workers’ rights and massive fees that companies need to pay if those rights are violated – not to mention the reputation that is being irreparably damaged. In times of the pandemic, businesses and destinations are emphasizing health and safety as their priority to attract new customers. Therefore, Occupational Safety and Health will take one of the central positions on the job market of the 21st century.
